Mr. Thomas H. Jenkins and his wife along with Mrs. Emily Zubrod were invited guest teachers. Mrs. Zubrod sent greetings but was unable to attend due to conflicting plans. Edith Hart Smith led the group in presenting a special candle “memorial tribute to Patricia Ann Cairns Gregory, Arthur Byron Kitchen, David Aaron Perry, Jr., Thomas Charles Phipps, Willard Marie Dampf Dymond, Middletown; Margaret O’Konsky Shock- loss, Wyoming; Charlotte Jones Oley, Dallas; and Richard F. Naomi Hons Haag, reunion coordinator, welcomed the group and acknowledged class members who provided special table decora- tions. Carolyn and Carl DeWitt provided individually hand crafted cross-stitched plaques in comple- mentary colors and attractively boxed mints. Beautifully hand- made centerpiece baskets filled with goodies enhanced each table in hues of the school colors.and these baskets were distributed to lucky number holders. Ethel Daniels Moss and hus- Car Caravan highlights KT Class of '45 reunion band Robert provided orange and black napkins personalized spe- cial for the occasion and a hand- some fruit basket which was chanced off and won by Earl Gre- gory. The Jenkins were greeted warmly by class members. Jane Widdall Webster presented Mrs. Jenkins with a potted plant from the class. Special repertoire musical re- cordings from the 1940's filled the air as the group reminisced about the “good old days.” A special committee was formu- lated to contact non-attending class members. Plans were.estab- lished to hold the class’ 50th Golden Anniversary on August 19, 1995 at the Castle Inn. Starlight Ball planning in full swing Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Auxiliary’s 1990 Starlight Ball Chairman Cece McCarthy, and co- chairman Flossie Reilly, continue to prepare for the upcoming 22nd Annual Starlight Ball, an exciting event that the community looks forward to with great anticipation. The two women, along with Star- light Ball Committee members have been working to ensure a memo- rable evening for all guests. Star- light Ball committee members prepare for many months in ad- vance in the following areas: fi- nance, raffle, publicity, decora- tions, dinner, invitations, corpo- rate contributions, reservations and arrangements.
