Dallas Twp. may fine for false alarms By CHARLOT M. DENMON Staff Writer An attempt to levy fines on pe. sons whose burglar alarms sound needlessly failed at the August 21 Dallas Township meetin. Dallas Township supervisor Frank Wagner's motion to approve an amendment to the municipal- ity’s existing false alarm ordinance to impose fines on persons who; have called in more than three false alarms was postponed until the board could discuss it in more detail. Wagner called for the motion because he stated that there were atleast 17 false alarms called in to the supervisors from a local home security agency during the last month. “Even when there is a malfunc- tion in a home alarm security system, the agency still calls the police,” Wagner said. The Dallas Township Planning Commission met following the supervisors meeting to discuss proposed subdivisions in the town- ship. The commission approved plans from the owner of Goodleigh Farms to sell a lot to Rick Allen. The Township's zoning board granted a variance to William H. Smith. Smith told the board he plans to build a home on his prop- erty on Ferguson Street and Route 309 and submitted a petition of a 10-foot variance on one side of the proposed home. Following a discussion between the board and Smith, the variance was granted. : Chicken dinner September 15 at Huntsville UMC Huntsville United Methodist Church is having their annual Family Style Chicken Dinner, .
