Harveys Lake Fire Co. schedules bazaar The Harveys Lake Volunteer Fire Co. will hold its annual bazaar on July 13, 14 and 15 at the Sandy Beach section of the lake. There will be games, prizes and refreshments for everyone. The fireman's parade will be held Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The bands will be Country Kings on Friday; Little Rock, Saturday; and Response, Sunday. Dallas Borough tax coliector sets hours Thomas E. Reese, Tax Collector, Dallas Borough will open his office for the collections of taxes, Monday, July 16 at 9 a.m. School Taxes for 1990 have been mailed. The discount period will end Saturday, September 15, 1990. All County and Municipal Taxes are in the Penalty Period. Girl Scouts hold flag ceremony at day camp Girl Scout Neighborhood 25, Trucksville and Shavertown, held the annual day camp at Frances Slocum State Park during the week of June 25-29. The camp was for registered scouts in kindergar- ten through sixth grade from that neighborhood. Along with activities associated with the special theme of “County Fair”, the girls learned outdoor skills, sign language, songs, swimming and games. The camp was staffed with adult volunteers and older Scout counselors. The camp also had special units and activities for the younger children of the volunteers. The teens toured the Center and received instruction in bed making, confidentiality, wheel chair safety, handwashing techniques, incident reporting and fire and safety procedures. They also had an opportu- nity to visit with residents.
