Piano students have recitals Earth Day Program at Dallas Middle School As part of the Earth Day observance, Dallas Middle School students from sections 8-4 and 8-8 presented an assembly for their eighth-grade class. Although comedic in nature, the student- written program had a serious message concerning earth’s future. Beginning with a slide show presenting scenes of “America the Beautiful,” the program featured a three-part skit presenting Earth Days of the future, when trees, wildlife and oxygen are depleted. Newsbreaks and commercials gave further visions of this future world. The program ended with suggestions of practices students could institute to preserve their environment.
