The camping season runs for six, one week sessions from June 24 to August 3, with an additional Family Camping week from August 5 to August 11. In addition or our regular Resi- dent Camping Program we are of- fering sports specialty camps such as: Cheerleading Camp from July 1 to July 6; Gymnastics Camp from June 24 to June 29; Football Camp from July 22 to July 27; Wrestling Camp from July 8 to July 13; Softball Camp from July 29 to August 3; Cross Country and Track Camp from July 15 to July 20; Soccer Camp from July 29 to August 3; Basketball Camp from July 15 to July 20. Denmon) Two from Back Mountain start for Wilkes Two Back Mountain residents, Ed Kwak and Jason Cadwalader, are starting members of the Wilkes University baseball team this year. Kwak, a junior outfielder, is hitting .340 with 3 homers and 18 RBI's through 32 games forthe 11- 21 Colonels. A graduate of Dallas High School, Kwak is a two time letter winner at Wilkes for coach Jerry Bavitz. A business administration major, Kwak is the son of Mary Ann and Edward Kwak of Shaver- town. Cadwalader, a junior catcher, is hitting .310 with 7 homers, 24 RBI's, 5 doubles and three triples. He is among the Middle Atlantic Conference leaders in homers and Penn State golf tournament set for June 4 at Mill Race Penn State Wilkes-Barre has set anew date for the 5th Annual Penn State Open Golf Tournament. The new date is Monday, June 4. The tournament will be held at the Mill Race Golf Course in Benton. All men and women golfers are wel- come. : Cost is $100 per person. Cost includes-all golf fees, Penn State reception and dinner. Deadline for registrations is May 20. More than $3,000 worth of Penn State prizes will be awarded. In addition, a $10,000 cash prize will be given for the 1st hole-in-hole, plus a trip to the National Hole- in—one Tournament in Texas. YMCA offers lifeguard course The Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA will conduct a concentrated 30 hour Lifeguarding course for five hours daily on Tuesday-Friday, May 29 through June 1, 4-9 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Prerequisites are: Must be at least 15 years old and be able to swim 1/4 mile using front crawl, side stroke, breaststroke, and ele- mentary back stroke, have current First Aid and CPR. The YMCA will offer a First Aid course on June 4 and 5th from 6- 10 p.m. For more information please call the Wilkes-Barre YMCA at 823- RBI's. Last year Cadwalader was a second team MAC All-Star after transferring from Keystone Junior College. Agraduateof Lake-Lehman High School, Cadwalader is majoring in biology at Wilkes.
