Kingston Township Police Chief Paul Sabol stepped down from the position as treasurer, a position which he filled for 23 years. Pa- trolman Michael Moravec was elected to fill the position. Others elected were Brunyn Kryger, president, West Wyoming Police Department; Robert Weiss, ‘Kingston Township, vice presi- dent; James Martin, Dallas Bor- ough, secretary; Sgt. James Balav- age, membership secretary. Elected to the Board of Gover- nors were Chief Paul Sabol; Pa- trolman Wayman Miers; Patrol- man Jerry Leedock, Jackson Township; Chief Carl Miers; and Patrolman John Appel. Jackson Twp. Fire Dept. elects officers The Jackson Township Volun- ‘teer Fire Department has held election of officers for 1990. Dan Manzoni was elected President, and Roland Evans was reelected Fire Chief. ‘Other officers and the results are as follows: Vice President, Alan Cooper; Secretary, Carl Moyer; Treasurer, Ray Bernick; Trustee, John Manzoni; First Assistant Fire Chief, Francis Manzoni. Residents of Jackson Township interested in serving with the fire company are invited to contact any of the above officers. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Gavigan and Franklin sworn in The Kingston Township Board of Supervisors held their annual reorganization meeting Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the Kingston Township Municipal Building, 11 Carverton Road, Trucksville. The Board of Supervisors welcomed newly elected Board members Donald Gavigan and Benjamin Franklin. They were sworn in by the Honorable Earl Gregory, District Magistrate. Mr. Franklin is beginning his first elected term as Supervisor follow- ing his appointment to the Board in early 1989. Mr. Franklin is a retired service station owner and operator. He resides on Ridge Street in Shavertown with his wife, Marion. ptm SN Sp ————r Mr. Gavigan is also starting his first term as Supervisor. His father, the late Ambrose Gavigan served the Township as a Supervisor for many years. Mr. Gavigan is an account representative for Nabisco Brands. He and his wife, Ann Marie, reside on Ridge Street in Shavertown with their three daughters. On other business, the Supervisors elected William Tippett as Chairman and Herbert Hill as Vice-Chairman of the Board for 1990. “Mr. Hill was also named liaison to the Police Department. Cub pack sols anti-drug rally Cub Scout Pack 232 chartered to Gate of Heaven is organizing a Drug Rally for the students of Gate of Heaven School. As a joint cele- bration of Catholic School Week, January 29 through February 2, and Scout Anniverary Week Feb- ruary 4 through 10, the Rally will be held on February 1, 1990 from 1-2:10 p.m. the local PRIDE group will perform and there will be fea- tured guest speakers.
