Morgan, Ph.D., director of behavioral sciences, Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency, recently conducted an institute on smoking in San Francisco. The program, entitled: “Smoking Ces- Workplace, and the Community”, was part of the Annual Meeting of programs and physicians’ roles in Dr. Morgan also recently re- ceived national publicity in July’s “The Insider's” newsletter on Smoking Cessation.” A graduate of the University of Maryland, Dr. Morgan received a masters and Ph.D. in clinical psy- chology from Washington Univer- sity, St. Louis, Missori. He has worked with local com- panies on smoking policy develop- ment and has presented various programs dealing with eating dis- orders, smoking and stress man- agement. Glen D. Morgan, Ph. Leena Shah is National Merit semi-finalist Leena Shah and Kimberly Johns, students at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School, Kingston, have recently been notified that they have been named semi-finalists in the 1990 National Merit Scholarship Competition. Leena Shah, daughter of Drs. Anilkumar and Evelyn Shah of Dallas, is a consistent Dean’s List High Honors student, and a member of the Madrigal Singers. She was awarded the Leroy E. Bugbee prize for a history research paper, was winner of the Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal for math and science, and the Edwin J. Roberts prize for outstanding Latin student. Kimberly Johns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johns of Wyoming, is also a consistent Dean's List High Honors student, and a member of the executive committee of the Wyoming Seminary Community Service Organization. He resides in Dallas with his wife, Kathleen Nolan, Ph.D., and Dr. Brown to speak at AIDS seminar Back Mountain resident, Dr. Robert L. Breiseth, Presi- dent of Wilkes College had an- nounced the appointment of Kath- erine Flanagan-Herstek of Trucksville as the new Director of Evening, Summer and Weekend Programs in the Division of Gradu- ate Studies and Adult Education. Katherine Flanagan-Herstek comes to Wilkes from College Mis- ericordia where she served as Assistant to the Academic Dean since January, 1985.
