Four Sisters celebrate Silver Jubilees Four Sisters of Mercy in the Scranton Province were honored for 25 years of service in religious life at a jubilee celebration held recently at Mercy Center in Dallas. They are: Sister M. Daria Bi- sulca, Sister Elizabeth Ann Brody and Sister Mary Theresa McGuire, all natives of Wilkes-Barre, and Sister Kathleen Mary Smith, a New York City native. Sr. Daria, who now lives in Plains, is a pastoral assistant at the Church of St. Maria Goretti, Laflin. St. Elizabeth Ann resides in Loretto, PA where she has been principal of St. Michael's School since 1982. Sr. Mary Theresa, a resident of Scranton, is an assistant profes- sor of education and curriculum at Lehigh University. Sr. Kathleen Mary, a Dallas resident, serves with the Province Administrative Group as director of ministry. She has a B.A. in Mathematics from College Miseri- cordia, an M.A. in Student Person- nel from Indiana University of Pennsylvaniaand a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan. She previ- ously taught primary and secon- dary grades in Nicktown, Plains and Johnstown, Pa. On the colle- giate level, she has served at St. Xavier College, Chicago, as dean of students and at Mount Aloysius Junior College, Cresson, Pa. where she was dean of students, director of financial aid and a member of the residence life staff. 40-YEAR JUBILARIANS - Sisters of Mercy honored for 40 years of service in religious life are, (seated from left) Sister M. Concilia Moran, Altoona; Sister Stella Maris Ozimkowski, Nanticoke; Sister Anne Frances Pulling, Central Islip, NY; Sister M. Boniface Schuck, Shamokin; Sister M. Benedict Joseph Watters, Altoona; and Sister Catherine Williamson, Wilkes-Barre. Sr. Paulette Berrang, a Shaver- town resident, recently completed her seventh year as director of the Pastoral Care/Education Program at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. An N.A.C.C. certified C.P.E. super- visor, she has a B.S. in Elemen- tary Education and an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry. She has taught elementary school in the Dioceses of Brooklyn in New York, and Al- lentown, Harrisburg, Scranton and Altoona-Johnstown in Penn- sylvania. From 1973 to 1980 she was part of the Pastoral Care Program of Altoona General Hos- pital. § Sr. M. A former prin- cipal of St. Agnes School, Tow- anda, she has taught in Bayside, Babylon, Douglaston and Sea CIifT, NY. Sr. Caritas Kenndy is associate director of Mission Helper Produc- tions, Baltimore, MD. She previ- ously served as associate director for adult catechism in the Archdio- cese of Newark, NJ, and associate director of religious education in the Diocese of Wilmington, DE. Sr. M. Linus Loesch is a mem- ber of the Holy Saviour School faculty, Wilkes-Barre. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from College Misericordia and has taught in Flushing, NY. : Sr. M.
