10 THE DALLAS POST/Wednesday, March 23, 1988 Back Mt. on the move FOR SALE WANTED AUTOPARTS RECREATIONAL HELP WANTED BY JEAN HILLARD Back Mt. Correspondent GEORGE AND BARB MACULLOCH and children Brian and Megan spent a week vacationing in Florida during Brian’s spring break from school. They enjoyed Disneyworld, Epcot Center and relaxing for a few days. Brian got the chicken pox while they were there so he didn’t feel very good with a fever and uncomfortable itching for a couple days. All things considered it was a memorable vacation. The Macullochs are owner-operators of Lehman Sunoco station and George is manager of Merchants Bank, Shavertown Branch. -O- BRENDA AND BARRY LANDMESSER of Sweet Valley returned from a week’s vacation- business trip in Rhode Island. The Landmes- sers attended a show on jewelry, buying for their spring season of earings, neck sets, etc. 20. It was with mixed emotions that I left my job at Stapinski’s Cosmetic Department to join the Estee Lauder line with Hess's, Wyoming Valley Mall. There are so many special people that I won’t be seeing on a regular basis now and I'll really miss them. My co-workers at Stapinski’s, the best I ever worked with, the management, etc., were all very hard to leave behind. But we all must move on and when a good opportunity arises we must be aggressive and reach out. I made that decision and now two weeks later I'm quite sure I made the right choice. I just have lots more people with lots of good memories to add to my friendship list. To all of you who either came in the store or dropped off things to me you can either send them to my house 372C Cook St., RD 4, Dallas or call them into The Dallas Post and I'll get them from there. I will continue the column if we can keep the info flowing in. Thanks! 0: AGNES (COOKIE) SOBECK, the hostess at Picketts Charge for the past five years also’ made a change in her job. Cookie is now Road repairs set The Kingston Township Board of Supervi- sors have announced their schedule of public improvements for fiscal year 1988. In addition, storm drainage greeting her customers at Giant Floor and Wall Covering. If you are purchasing carpet- ing for your home be sure to pay Cookie a visit. Good luck Cookie, we wish you the best. -0- LORI HILLARD and DARCI DAVIS have returned to Virginia to finish their school year, spring break is now history and summer vacation is the main topic for these two. We had the pleasure of taking them back over the weekend, it was a pleasure too, the weather warmer and even some sunshine for a few hours. Our Siberian Husky (Bo) our only kid at home now enjoyed seeing his friends at Creature Comforts for the weekend. That’s his favorite dog hotel when he vacations. -0- AMBER NICELY had her surgery last Wednesday as planned, her leg has been amputated and latest reports are she’ll be returning to her home at 121 Sterling Avenue, Dallas, this week. There were some very uncertain hours following the surgery, lots of hard decisions for her parents to face but the final outlook is better than first expected. Please keep sending Amber cards, she really needs our support and love now. Continue to pray for her, that she doesn’t have a lot of pain and adjusts to all the changes as best as she can. This little 7year old girl counts on us all for support. -O- JANET AND TONY DE COSTA of Mass. were visitors in our Back Mountain area recently. Janet is the daughter of Ms. Beatrice Moore of East Dallas and she spent a week with her mother and visiting locally. The DeCostas visit our area 3 or 4 times a year, it’s always nice to have them for a while. -0- DOES IT FEEL like the first day of Spring to you? Sunday was definitely a ‘‘calendar spring” only. Our Back Mountain residents moved along briskly as the temperatures drapped steadily, even the Robins were shiver- ing. 2 LIVINGROOM LAMPS w-frosted glass, w-large gold trimmed vase, shades white pleated trimmed in gold, $100. 822-9738. 7-4-P WANTED--Antique fish- ing equipment.
