Killer cold: Exposure to cold water can be life threatening in any season but it’s especially critical this time of the year. Hypothermia is the cooling of the body’s temperature that can lead to unconsciousness or even death. Signs of hypothermia include shivering, pale appearance, con- stricted pupils and slow labored breathing. Someone suffering from these symptoms who doesn’t get medical attention can become unconscious and eventually die. The Commission offers a free publication to all boaters and sportsmen explaining the per- sonal safety skills to use when around cold water. : For a free copy of this publi- cation, send a self-addressed, stampled envelope to the Penn- sylvania Fish Commission, Bureau of Boating, P.O. Box 1673, Harrisburg, PA 17105-1673. Post sports tell it all! BROTHERS WRESTLE —Four sets of brothers, who are members of the Back Mountain Elementary Club, are shown above with their coaches.
