yo Tr EE ® a ov 4 People PARSE conducts festival The Luzerne-Columbia Coun- ties Chapter of Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees recently held their annual dinner, ‘A Fall Frolic”, at the Gus Genetti Best Western Motor Inn. Decorations were in keeping with the season. Tables were adorned with tiny pumpkins, gourds, chestnuts and colored leaves. Each guest received a unique potpourri favor made by Mrs. Bruno Dalmas. Clara Jean Smith served as general chairperson of the affair, assisted by Lavina Fisher, Katherine Krescanko, Kaye Ray, Gwillym Amos, and until his recent death, the late Michael Petscavage. Honorary Chairman of the affair was Bruno Dalmas, president of the local chapter. Special mention was given to Mr. John M. Baur, chairman of meetings arrange- ments. Members of the local chapter who served as Delegates to the 14th Annual Governing Council Meeting held recently at the Embers Convention Center, Carlisle were President - Regional Vice President, Bruno Dalmas, local officers, Betty Heller, vice president, Lavina Fisher, secretary, Gwillym Amos, treasurer, Kayr Ray, public relations, Albert Ray, Catherine Krescanko, Clara Smith, Ben Wenogrodski, Jacob Klein and Stella Wrubel. Tomasovic to direct play Mrs. Evelyn Tomasovic of Center Hill Road in Dallas has been selected to direct the upcoming production of ‘‘Amahl and The Night Visitors’’ by Gian-Carlo Menotti. The Christ- mas Opera is to be presented on December 12 at 7 p.m. and December 13 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The production will’ be staged at the Methodist Church at Wyoming and Yeager Aves. in Forty Fort. Other Dallas residents in the cast include Dr. Joseph Toma- sovic as King Kasper, and Shir- ley Smith and Nancy Delinsky as village shepherdesses.
