DENMON Staff Correspondent Its newly remodeled diningroom with deep burn orange upholstered booths, highlighted by dark and light woods which blend with the tan wall-to-wall carpeting gives Mark II Restaurant the ideal atmosphere for family dining. The family restaurant, owned and operated by Marilyn and Bernard Sult of Shavertown, is geared to serve the entire family from the young ones in high chairs to grandmother or grandfather. Two or 20, no group is too large for seating at Mark II Family Restaurant, Memorial Highway, Dallas, diagonally across from Offset Paperback Co. Inc. Open for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. every morning, Mark II’s latest breakfast special consists of two eggs, two strips of bacon, toast, jelly and coffee for only $1.79. You can start the day with a glass of chilled juice, orange, grapefruit or tomato, ideal for whetting your appetite. From a toasted English muffin, Danish, fruit in season or French toast, to Western, mushroom and cheese, ham and cheese omelettes to pancakes or cereal, there is a favorite for everyone. Weekends, a hot breakfast buffet and fresh fruit bar are featured. Diners, who prefer charcoaled foods, will find a variety of items on the menu, including six ounce gourmet burgers with a topping of one’s choice. The burger is served on fresh daily hard rolls. Barbecue spare ribs served with potato, vegetable, soup and salad bar are a favorite of many customers. Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, in addition to the regular menu of delicious dinners, dinner buffets are offered from 4 p.m. On Monday and Wednesday, Mark II has a Deluxe Dinner Buffet.
