Fahmy speaks to students Dr. Mahmoud Fahmy, Director of Education at Wilkes College, recently spoke to the American Studies class in the library at Lake- ~ Lehman High School concerning the ~ Middle Eastern Arab-Israeli conflict and its ramifications for this gener- ation of Americans. Dr. Fahmy is not a stranger to Lake-Lehman as the American Studies class, team taught by Robert Roese and John Comitz, has hosted him as guest speaker for several years. Dr. Fahmy was welcomed by the students evidenced by their response to him and his message and their preparing of an incredible culinary array of health food . snacks. The students, advised prior to Dr. Fahmy’s visit that part of his message to them would be that a healthy body and mind constitutes a ~ truly mature person, decided that the usual donuts and coffee offered guest speakers during break would not be appropriate.
