Judy Kmetz, Ways and Means Chairman and Anne Neyhard, Pub- licity Chairman, represented the Lehman-Jackson PTA at the annual convention of the Pennsylvania Con- gress of Parents and Teachers. The convention was held at the Holiday Inn, RIDC Park Pittsburgh. The administration theme ‘‘PTA Together for Tomorrow’ was used at the convention. Over 300 delegates gathered in the convention hall to form a decision- making body on PTA resolutions and legislation. Some of the topics under discussion were asbestos in schools, Act 195, sexual assault pre- vention education, excellence in education and health curriculum. At the convention banquet, dele- gates welcomed speaker Hedda Bluestone Sharapan, associate pro- ducer of “Mister Roger’s Neighbor- hood.” Highlight of the banquet was the installation of newly elected state PTA officers. Serving a two year term are PTA state president Hattie L. Lehigh; first vice presi- dent, Marge Horvath; secretary, Martha Holman; Region III vice- president, Cathy Cheeo; Region V vice president Caroline Bater, Region VI vice-president Muriel Barton. The series, which begins with the November 1984 issue and continues each month until February 1985, examines the home health industry in the state of Ohio. The articles were extracted from Soltis’ Ohio State University master’s thesis, “Home Health Agencies: An Analy- sis of Performance Standards.” A 1982 graduate of Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Soltis served his administrative residency at Wilkes-Barre General last year and was a 1984 master’s degree recipient in health administration from Ohio State University. At Ohio State, Soltis was an active student member of the American College of Hospital Administrators (ACHA), the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HEMA) and the Central Ohio Health Admnin- istrators Association.
