The Student Government Association and the Student Affairs Office co-sponsored the celebration in honor of Penn State’s first national championship in football at the 1983 Sugar Bowl. Students, faculty and staff participated in the event and signed a congratulatory card which was sent to N 4 Head Coach Joe Paterno and the Nittany Lions football team.
