The Wilkes-Barre campus of the Pennsylvania State
University recently held a Penn State No. 1 Victory Rally
at Hayfield House on the Lehman campus. The Student
Government Association and the Student Affairs Office
co-sponsored the celebration in honor of Penn State’s
first national championship in football at the 1983 Sugar
Bowl. Students, faculty and staff participated in the
event and signed a congratulatory card which was sent to

PTA meets
On Tuesday night, Jan. 18, the Lake-Noxen Elemen-
tary PTA will hold a unit meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the
music room. After the meeting we will be shown the art
of candy making as demonstrated by Bonnie Elston.
Refreshments will be served.
Candy sale
Lake-Noxen Elementary PTA is sponsoring an Easter
Candy Sale. The students will be taking orders from Jan.
21 through Jan. 30. Proceeds from the sale will go to pur-
chase a video camera for the school. There will be a prize
program for the students who sell candy.
La Leche meets
Back Mountain West La Leche League will hold its
second in a series of four meetings, Thursday, Jan. 20, at
the home of Mrs. Robert Folmar, North Lake. Pregnant
women, nursing mothers and other interested women are
invited to attend to discuss ‘The Art of Breastfeeding
and Overcoming Difficulties.” Further information may
