An international cast of 90 young people will appear in concert on Monday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 v.m. in Dallas Jr. High bchool. + Up With People, which has been enjoyed by millions in 42 countries dround the world, is being presented by GFWC, Dallas Jr. Woman’s Club. ‘ Recently featured as the half-time spctacular of Super Bowl XIV, the 1980 Up With People show is an all-new two hour production that has been described by a leading Spanish newspaper as ‘“...brilliant. The color, movement and message permeated the hall... Thousands of hands were clapping with the highest of intensity.” The show features dazzling new costumes with a special collection of international folk dress and period costumes from the 1920s, 30’s, and 40’s." There’s choreography with a kick, staging with style. Up With People is one of the few entertainment \ productions that has such Mrs. Janice Taylor, chairman of dealers for the annual Prince of Peace Church Craft Show, which will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the parish house, announced a list of dealers who will be participating at the show. They are, Joyce Ver- neski, Mountaintop, baby quilts, stained glass and and life-styles. The music is upbeat-the kind of toe- tapping and hand- clapping music that gets everyone involved in the show. But, there’s more than just music. Up With People was incorporated in 1968 as a non-profit, international among peoples, cultures, and countries; and to give young people a learning experience that not only broadens the intellect, but matures the person. Up With People’s five touring companies consist of approximately 550 young men and women, representing 23 countries. TREEFNERES REET EE EE TE EE SE EE EE Ee each student spends on the road, they travel an average of 35,000 miles, learning first hand of the diversity of cultures and customs about the world. In each community they visit, cast members stay with ‘‘host families,” sharing in their lifestyles and interests. Some 40 local families are ex- pected to host Up With People students in their home for several days. Often cast members meet with heads of in- dustry and government, and community leaders in an exchange of questions and ideas. The per- formers do their own stage work, promotion, and day-to-day logistics. Students may also receive college credit for in- dependent study assignments they un- dertake on the road. The New York Times put it this way: “Up With People’s message is simple. Mrs. Agnes Daily Heath of 38 Church St., Dallas will celebrate her ’96 birthday on Sunday Nov. 2. Mrs. Heath was born on Nov. 2, 1884 in Luzerne. She was married on Thanksgiving Day, 1908 to Paul J. Daily of Towanda, R.D., who died in 1926. She later married Lloyd Heath of Waverly, N.Y., who is also deceased. Mrs. Heath lived in Kingston for many years. Mrs. Heath has two living children, Paul R. Daily of West Chester and Towanda R.D., and Mrs. William W. Brackett, the former Jean Daily of Haddonfield Hills, Dallas. Two sons are deceased-- Richard B. Daily who died at age 11, and Ralph K. Daily of Kingston, who died in 1968. She has eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She worked until well past her 80th birthday at Philadelphia Bible College.
