Hawks lose » Back Mountain Hawks dropped their season record to 2-3, losing 11-8 to Mifflinville Saturday afternoon in the Tri- County League. The game was played on the Mifflin- ville: field. The Hawks took a two run lead in the first inning but dropped behind 3-2 in the second. Both teams went scoreless until the top half of the fifth when the Hawks scored three runs to go out in front 5-3. Jim Mahon pitched for the Hawks. of the runners fell out. Dallas Community Roaring Brook Divisions of the Bicycle motocross has come to the Back Mountain this spring. Each Sunday afternoon the motocross races are held at the Lehman Horse Show Grounds along Route 118, Lehman Township. The first races were 1 and June 8. Last Sunday there were 50 riders from the Back Mountain area who took part in the races. The local group is associated with the National Bicycle Motocross Association man Registration will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. -to noon with race time at noon. Persons who wish to do so may register early and return at the starting time. Required for racing is a 20-inch bike with no reflectors, nochain guard, stand nor fenders. Riders must have pads on the bikes. Riders must wear helmets, shirts and long pants. Trophies are awarded to the first, second and third = place winners in each division. Ribbons are awarded to fourth, fifth and sixth place winners. Last were Tony week's winners seven and under, Taney. Next Tuesday's games will send Dallas Com- munity to Center- moreland against North- moreland Baptist; Noxen IBC will be guests of Sweet Valley: Roaring Brook and second place Bloomingdale will battle it out for top place in the West Division at Bloomingdale; Tunkh- annock Baptist will be guest of Back Mountain, and First Baptist of Kingston will be guests of Calvary Bible.
