Bill Downs, a junior at Lake-Lehman High School is in the Post Spotlight this week. Although Bill, a college prep student is undecided to what college he will sttend, he has decided to major in business following his graduation from Lake-Lehman. Bill, a son of William and Kathy Downs, has one brother, James. James is a sophomore at Lake- Lehman. Both Bill and James are members of the tennis team and the Ski Club. Bill’s interests include hunting with a bow and fishing. He enjoys photo- graphy and does some of his own developing. This the junior class play, ‘“The Wonderful Adventures of Don Quixote. Each summer the Downs visit relatives in Panama City and other points of interest in Florida. Bill particularly enjoys visiting Disney World, St. Augustine and Key West but says he enjoys visiting anywherein Florida. An ambitious young man, Bill works at Huntsville Nursery and Kingston Indoor Tennis Club. Bill likes the fact that Lake-Lehman High School is small enabling everyone to know everyone. year Bill had the lead in CHORISTERS HONORED--Dallas HIgh Choristers Lisa Luksic and Robert Robinson were presented awards by Diane Wojciechowski, director of New Community Singers, and Nancy Delinski, member of the group, Thursday, May 29, at a dinner in honor of Dal-Hi Choristers at the Castle Inn. The awards were in recognition of the two students outstanding musical accomplishments. The first annual awards by the New Community Singers will be continued in the future. Dave « Kerdesky, a junior at Dallas High School, prefers the at- mosphere of a smaller school like Dallas to that of a school with a larger enrollment like Wyoming family moved to the Back Mountain from that school district when he was in seventh grade. At Dallas, Dave feels that student keeps his in- dividual identity, he doesn’t get lost in the crowd. Dave lives in Shaver- town with his parents, Joyce and Peter Ker- desky. Dave has three sisters; Colleen, who works at Perugino’s in Luzerne and twin sisters, Connie and Wendy, students at Westmoreland Elementary School. Dave’s brother, Peter, is also a student at West- moreland Elementary School. Areal sports lover Dave has been on the basketball team for four years. A former member of Little League for five years, Dave now plays softball in the Back Mountain League. Hunting and fishing are other sports Dave enjoys. A member of the junior steering commimttee, Dave is employed at Perugino’s in Luzerne. Dave is an academic student, who is looking forward to attending college following graduation.
