While in eighth grade, Judy led her team in scoring and was named to the All-Star team in the Catholic All Star League. For two consecutive years, during seventh and eighth grade, Judy took the Knights of Columbus Council District and Regional Foul Shooting Contest championship. At the end of her eighth grade year Judy was recipient of the American Mark Moran) Legion Award for ‘‘citizenship, and out- standing athletic and Softball is another sport where Judy has a lot of experience. One of the original members of the Back Mountain Girl's Softball League Judy played in that league for six years. For five of those six years the team on which Judy played took the league championship. Judy was named to the All-Star team four years in a row. At Bishop O’Reilly Judy has continued to par- ticipate in school sports. Judy earned varsity letters in both softball and basketball during her freshman year and again in her sophomore year. Recently, Judy received honorable mention for the Girl’s Softball All-Star team. An honor student, Judy was recently inducted into the National Honor Society for Languages. In April she was chosen along with four of her classmates to appear on CBS Teen Commentary. Students were chosen. on the basis of an essay they had written to give their opinion concerning the draft. Judy served as class treasurer during her sophomore year and is a member of the school’s student council Judy’s hobbies include watching and playing basketball and baseball. She also enjoys gym- nastics. This summer Judy will be playing softball with a league from Bishop O'Reilly. In August she will spend a week at the Digger Phelps Basketball Camp in New York.
