Forty-four seniors and thirty-one juniors who have main- tained a 90 and-or above average so far in their high school years were installed as official members. This ceremony is noted as the height of the academic achievement within Bishop O’Reilly. Speeches and the symbolic yellow rose for each senior girl concluded the evening. Under the coaching of Mr. Keaney, four members of the debate team have qualified to compete in the District 8 Tournament at Scranton Central High School. O'Reilly earned their recognition at the Wilkes College Sardoni Art Gallery with the presen- tation of art and photography awards. The sophomores held a successful bake sale Tuesday Feb. 14, thanks to the cooperation of the members of the class and class moderator Sr. Catherine Mary. It appears as though Bishop = O'Reilly High School will be represented in the state swimming competition to be held Feb. 24 and 25. Due to the winning determination and encouragement from all the members of the swim team, the 200 medley relay team have qualified to compete in states with a second place victory in the district competition. The girls swimming in the 200 medley should be congratulated for their excellent performance.
