It will be a special day and to the oExchanged PARTS AND ACCESSORIES 2 winners it will even be sweeter. Yes, the signifi- cance of the game won't seem much now, but we guarantee it will in several years. We hope both teams play up to their capabilities and they enjoy the game. CLIPBOARD NOTES: Crestwood completed its best season with a rout over Bishop O’Hara of Scranton. Comets wind up the season with a nifty 9-1-1 log. David Schmid again starred as he rushed 199 yards and two TDs. QB Eric Mantush scored one TD and others. Tip of the hat to Coach Marv Antinnes for the splendid season his Wyoming Sem lads en- joyed. They've posted 17 straight wins over the last couple of years and it was the second straight perfect season. We're looking forward to Saturday’s clash between Ohio State and Michigan. Bo’s boys have got to be the favorites, but we’re rooting, as always, for the Bucks of Coach Woody Hayes. It will be a real helmet-buster with, get this, passing deciding the outcome. Yep, both have been throwing the football a bunch this season. We had an enjoyable time Saturday when we viewed the Rutgers-Tulane game with Bob Saul. Rutgers really creamed Tulane which could be the worst football team we’ve seen this season. Rutgers continues to work toward making it in the big leagues and from what we’ve seen and heard they’re going in the right direction. Got a chance to visit with Coach Bob Naso and Bill Speranca after the blow- out. They're sharp guys. Learned recently that Coach Bob Knight is going to do a weekly sports column, Knowing Coach Knight he’ll show some of the scribes a thing or two. This is just another indication - of why our scholastic athletic programs continue to decline. The kids are the ones that gotta suffer. It’s like the old saying, ‘When you've got jerky guys running the athletic /pro- grams, consequently you'll end up with jerky programs. We know Pitt has the personnel to defeat Penn State and we know if Penn State goes to the Orange Bowl Oklahoma: will whip them, too. What we're wondering is just what kinda preparations Coach Jackie Sherrill will come up with for State?
