Richards Lake-Lehman went down to its first defeat of the season to a good Meyers team Saturday night, 20-13, while Dallas bowed to Pittston Area in the af- ternoon, 34-12. After two straight wins, Coach Rich Gorgone’s Knights tasted defeat. They gave the Mohawks all they could handle and led at the half, 7-6. Meyers is still unbeaten and appears headed for a showdown with Pittston Area for the title. Jim Spencer scored the first TD after a good drive. Bob Weidner kicked the PAT and was injured which had an affect on the Knights’ defense in the late going. Mark DeCesaris flipped to Ed Oncay for the other tally. Coach Gorgone said, ‘We had our chance to win. The kids played very well. We thought it was a good, hard football game. We knew Meyers was a big play team. They made some big plays and won.” Lake-Lehman’s line did a consistent job in blocking the Mohawks on running plays for Jack Swire, Jack The past two .weeks found the following wins in the Imperialette League.
