Pre- registration is not necessary. Upholstery is one of many courses being offered by the Home Improvement Program of Luzerne County Community College. The classes are open to all flood victims ‘as well as residents of Luzerne County. The entire project was made the Economic Development Administration. In the program’s first phase, upholstery was offered’ and many participants felt that one session was not sufficient to cover the needed information. In the program’s second phase it was decided to expand this subject to two three-hour lecture demonstrations. Charles Natitus, a Shaver- town resident, is the instructor for Thursday’s class. Mr. Natitus has had over 40 years experience in this field and heads his own upholstery concern. Mr. Natitus brings his own teaching ability to each class coupled with a self-built miniature chair with which he demonstrates the skill of upholstery. The approach of all the courses in the Home Improve- ment Program is an elementary one, but at the same time they convey enough material in one or two sessions to enable par- ticipants to go out and try their hand at projects which seemed more. difficult before learning the basics involved.
