Dallas Band To Present Program Friday The Dallas Senior High School concert band will present a program, under the direction of Lester R. Lewis, at the high school /@uditorium this Friday, March 23, at 8 p.m. Also in- ' cluded on the program will be the Dallas Senior High School chorus, the stage band, and a 90- piece grade school band. The concert band will play the “Light Cavalry Overture’; a contemporary number, “Estampie’’ written by Valcev Nelybell; ‘‘Sounds of The Three Dog - Night”; . and selections from the musical, “Oliver”. The majorettes will perform special routines to the marches, . “Colussus of Columbia” and “Emblem of Unity”. ‘A “select brass ensemble, Richard Monte, Raymond Jacobs, Edward Johnson, William Barber, Bruce Unger, ‘Clifford Kozemchak, and Richard Steckiel, will play “Overture for Brass’. The 100-voice mixed chorus, directed by Florence H. Sher- wood, will sing “Ebb Tide’; and as a combined band-chorus number, they will present George M. Cohen’s ‘‘Patriotic Fantasy”. The grade school band con- sists of fifth and sixth grade stu- ‘dents who have reached the point of playing in a large en- semble. This concert will be the first band experience for many of thegg students. Their prograr\¥®also includes a sixth grade clarinet ensemble which will play a special arrangement of ‘“‘America The Beautiful”.
