DALLAS TOWNSHIP On Friday at 3 p.m., icy con- ditions were responsible for an accident on Conyngham Avenue. According to Dallas Township police reports, Tho- mas Considine, 142 Cedar Ave., Shavertown, was travelling down Conyngham Avenue and was about to turn into the road to the Junior High School when a car driven by Peter Duda, 41 Davenport St., Dallas, ap- Police Report parently skidded into the Consi- dine vehicle. No one was in- jured. Patrolman John Appel investigated. Last Tuesday afternoon an accident took place involving a motorcycle and a school bus. Police reports stated that Robert Eipper, Main Street, Dallas had backed a 1967 Dodge bus into Ryman Road to turn around, when a 1972 Honda driven by Walter Crawford, Silver Springs, Maryland. slid across the lane into the side of the bus. Apparently the brakes on the bike became locked. There were no injuries. The in- vestigating officer was John Appel. KINGSTON TOWNSHIP Patrolmen Berube and Loh- mann investigated an accident last Thursday shortly after 5 p.m. at the Shavertown Shop- ping Center. Thomas Noon Jr., RD 2 Dallas reportedly crossed Route 309 after pulling out of Evan’s Drug Store and. was about to turn his vehicle into the entrance to the shopping center, when a vehicle approaching from behind, driven by Max Zier, 58 Mill St., Luzerne, struck the Noon vehicle from the rear. The accident occurred 150 feet north of Center Street in Shavertown. There were no in- juries. Home Site, rentals. the bill. A complaint was received from Shrine Acres concerning water seepage which DAMA said would be investigated. Douglas Deihl, representing of the authority, stated that he understood how these residents felt, but they were the only ones who complained about paying for the service. He also stated that all the people in the Back Mountain who receive service have to pay the rental. The authority understood that when the people moved into the site, the Department of Housing and Urban Development was to provide the trailers and the sewer authority would provide Roy Weston Environmental Engineers, reported that plans are proceeding for the extension of the sewage system in the Dug Road area. The first line will begin at Dug Road by Nestor’s store, come down Carverton Road, go to the Park Neigh- borhood Church to Snake Creek and eventually eennect to the system now in ug.
