Dolbear. Those named commended students are Katherine A. Lawrence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lawrence, 123 White Birch Lane, Dallas; Kathy Kreidler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kreidler, 26 Division St., Shavertown; Cynthia Witek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Witek, 65 Parrish St., Dallas; Jack Kloeber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kloeber, 244 Ferguson Ave., Shavertown; and Raymond Jacobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jacobs, 65 Midland Drive, Dallas. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has named 37,000 commended students in the United States. These students are among the upper two percent of those who are expected to graduate from high school in 1973. The commended students’ names are reported to the colleges they named as their first and second choices when they took the PSAT-NMSCT in October, 1971. The reports in- clude home addresses, test scores, and anticipated college major and career intentions of the students. NMSC encourages these students to make every effort to continue their education. Michael Davis in Symphonic Band Dr. Robert Ellenwood, conductor of the Ohio Wesleyan Symphonic Band, is pleased to announce the acceptance of Michael L. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Davis, 80 Midland Drive, Dallas, into this year’s symphonic band and symphony orchestra. He will be playing in the second cornet section, first chair. While in high school Michael was selected twice to District Band and twice to Region II All- State Band. A freshman at OWU, Mr. Davis is an economics major and a prelaw student.
