The memorial poppies are made by disabled veterans in hospital and poppy workshops throughout the nation. Profits from donations for the poppies are used 100 per cent for the relief of servicemen and women and their families. The local project is sponsored by Dallas American Legion Auxiliary Post 672. Mrs. Edward J. Boltz Jr., 19 Gordon Ave., Goss Manor, Dallas, is president of the Women’s Council of Wyoming Valley United Fund. The council is responsible for the solicitation within the Metropolitan Division of the campaign organization. Volunteers willing to assist in this community program are asked to contact members of the council including Mrs. Boltz, or Molly Ryan at the United Fund Office for in- formation relating to the program. Mrs. A. DeWitt Smith, Demunds Road, Dallas, is chairman of the Back Mountain Geographical area. The council will include more than 1,000 volunteers working in this year’s campaign. Frank E. Dallas Woman's Club Chorale presented a program of musical selections for two organizations last Monday evening. The Chorale first performed for guests at Valley Crest and then presented a program at the Wyoming Valley Distributing Company Inc. membership dinner. Mrs. David Wojchiechowski announced that the group will continue to sing through the month of June. Members of the Chorale, which is a non profit organiza- tion, are from the Dallas Junior and Dallas Senior Woman's Clubs.
