Mr. Evans entered Doug Nicol. ' Awards were given last Wednesday night at 8 at Kings College. Stephen Farrar was one of the top twenty of 248 students from the 47 schools that participated. Mr. Paul has requested all stu- dents driving to school to please keep their cars off the grass. Since Spring is here, new grass is trying to grow, but it is being tramped down and ground up by car wheels. Let’s try to keep our school campus beautiful. Reason for our not being allowed to go out into the courtyard is that frost has damaged the walls around the flowers and any pressure, such as people sitting on them, will cause the walls to break. After this is remedied we will be allowed to use the courtyard. Miss Emgler, advisor for the cheerleaders, announced that there would be tryouts this week. Best of luck to all girls trying out. On Tuesday, April 30, the F.H.A. Club held initation service for twenty-five girls. Since the club was just a new chapter started this year, it also received the charter. Mrs.: Bronson, advisor for the F.H.A., announced that plans are being completed for the F.H.A. trip | to Penn State University tomorrow. A “Track and Field Day” will be held” Wednesday, May 22, at 12:30 in the afternoon. There are many activities scheduled for ‘the day, among them broad jumps, relay races, a tug of war and ball throw- ing. All girls in the gym classes will participate. He fell un- conscious after baseball practice on April 10 and was taken to the { Noxen Clinic where he was given tests. It was found ‘that he had a broken blood vessel in his head. Last Monday, April 22, he was operated on to clip the vessel thus preventing further pressure. It is reported that Jimmy is very ‘homesick and cards from friends and classmates will be appreciated. A movie entitled “Something For Uncle Ben” was shown to the Junior High School students on April 23 during the activity period. House of Delegates at Hotel Redington on Thursday night. On April 26 Miss Sullivan, one of the advisors of the “Roundtable,” attended a yearbook seminar at Wilkes College. Carol Remley and Irene Martin accompanied Miss Sullivan as student representatives. Achievement tests were' adminis- tered to the seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.
