She | “a | petite, is~not only an ideal recitalist, but | also a focal point on the operatic | | stage.” Miss Sarfaty appeared with Maria | Callas in a performance of “Il Pir- ata” with the American, Opera Soc- | iety in 1959. Last season, she was with Callas in “Madame Butterfly” | at. the Dallas Opera, and this year she sings again in Dallas with an- other great soprano, Joan. Suther- | land, “Lucia Di Lammermoor”.
