Mrs. Shiber is the former Clara Gillman, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake Gillman. ‘The Gill- mans owned and operated a butcher shop at the corner of Grove and Brown Streets, Wilkes Barre. Mr. Shiber is son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Shiber, North Wash- ington Street, Wilkes Barre. The couple was married in the Center- | moreland Methodist parsonage by | the Rev. Mr. McDermott, April 18, 1906, and went to housekeeping in | Wilkes Barres where Mr. Shiber worked as pressman for the Wilkes Barre Record. They had one son who died when he was three +— if he had lived, he would be fifty three. About thirty seven years ago, Mr. Shiber and his half brother, Clyde Veitch, contractor, built two homes on ‘Center Hill Road and the Shi- bers moved into the one they now occupy.
