J. Weckesser Day” is to be held Saturday, May 7 on the club links in Dallas. This date was set at a meeting of the Schedule and Rules Committees held Tuesday at the Country Club with Ernest Wellhofer, schedules chairman, and George Common, rules chairman, presiding. The opening event will be a member - guest, best - ball tourna- ment and members can procure tickets from various golf chairmen, or from Ray Gettle, club pro. As a result of requests from last year, the committee has scheduled six member - member tournaments for the coming season. It was also announced that gull fying rounds for the Irem Club Championship would start July 30 and the big Invitational Best-Ball- Of-Partners Tournament is planned for August 12, 13, and 14.
