AT \ Dallas-Franklin The Senior Problems: of Demo- cracy class of Dallas-Franklin High School observed Brotherhood week with an assembly program entitled “Brotherhood in a Democracy.” Fred Roberts acted as moderator. Background material was supplied by Deanna Townsend, Joanne Lew- in, Jean Mead, Susan Wileman, Joan Swales, and Richard Hislop. Marilyn Welsh, Mary Ann Emman- uel, Rosemary Stofila, Andrew Stas- ko, David Goddard, John Yaple, Nelson Conden and Paul Gebler, formed a discussion group. On February 22, the Senior Lib- rary Club held a party in the school library at 11:30. All senior members were present. The girls played games and refreshments were serv- ed. Marian Shively won the door prize. Library Club advisor is Miss Emily Goldsmith. The girl's basketball intramural offs this week. Freshmen will play the Sophomores, and the winner of this game will play the Juniors to determine the winning team of the season. The annual Magazine Campaign closed on Friday, February 18 with a total of $1344.20. High Salesman was Danny Richards with a total of $82.50. Jack Swales was the second with $55.00. Certificates of achieve- ment for selling more than $30.00 worth of magazines go to: Danny Richards, Jack Swales, Barbara Cheney, Grace Ann Bachman, Shar- on John, Sandra Baird, and Clark Mosier. The winning: homeroom was number 19, 7-A, with a total of $282.10. The second high homeroom was room number 18 with a total of $223.40. The Mystery Prize of $25.00 was won by Jack Barnes. Business managers of the campaign were Ellen Walsh and Mary Lou Ehrgott, faculty sponsor Miss Ethel Shultz. Proceeds of the campaign will be used to purchase roll-away type bleachers for the Dallas-Frank- lin Gymnasium. The Key Club will sponsor two basketball games on Tuesday in the Dallas-Franklin Gymnasium: West- moreland Hi-Y vs. the Dallas-Frank- lin Key Club, and a Faculty team vs. the Dallas Kiwanis Club.
