At The Auction Fun House, Comics, To Keep Kids Busy Mrs. Antoinette Mason and Mrs. Arline Rood, second and first grade teachers .at Dallas Elementary school, will again have charge of the Fun House for small children at the Library Auction, July 9 and 10. Children up to age twelve will enjoy a fish-pond, clown-face ball game, and other games, with plenty of prizes. Mrs. Mason has had a new clown made and painted, to replace the one which was broken last year. Parents will assist. The Fun House will be open both days of the auc- tion from noon until 9 p. m. For boys and girls who like comic books, Troop 200 is collecting used comics. Joe Peterson has been in charge of this project for several years. This year Durelle Scott and Joe will collect in Dallas, Tommy Kelly in Fernbrook, and Lynn Sheehan in Parrish Heights, and it will be a Boy Scout responsibility to man the booth in shifts. Any boy who has a stack of used comic books may contribute them, and replenish his supply by buying different ones at the booth at a genercus mark- down. Kingston Twp. Don- ald Roberts of Scranton spent several days with his Grandmother Hilbert. The Daily Vacation Bible School was held in the church house from Monday to Friday June 21 to 25. The theme of the school this year was “Our Church.” An enthusiatic group of boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 12, anxiously awaited the first day and continued in their eagerness thru the week. The children learned the history of the church, its makings and functions. There were outdoor activities, games and songs. On Wednesday Rev. Bostic took the older groups into the church and explained the meaning of the services and ritual. Sunday morning the children presented a short program to demonstrate some of the things they had learned. He presented perfect attendance pins to 33 of the students.
