Eighty Mothers and Daughters Attend Banquet at Alderson About eighty mothers and daugh- ters enjoyed a banquet in Alderson Methodist (Church Friday evening. Mrs. Asenath Davis, oldest mother present, Mrs. Edwin Delamey youngest mother, and Mrs, Marian Avery, mother with most daughters present, were presented with pot- ted plants. Mrs. Raymond Garinger gave the address of welcome and a brief his- tory of Mother's Day. Mrs. Swan- son and Robannah Shoemaker en- tertained with a piano duet; Mrs. Dan Meeker with several readings, and Mrs. Fred Swanson with vocal selections. Hemenway spent the weekend at Frankfort, N.Y. with their son Charles and family. Mrs. Hemenway remained there for a week and will visit other relatives at Ilion and Herki- mer. Byron Ide is spending a 30-day furlough at his home on Church Road after being in South American waters for the past six months. Mrs. Charlotte Lewis celebrated her 91st birthday on May 4th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. IC. A. Perkins, 37 (Carverton Road. Mrs. Lewis is in good health and enjoyed looking over her cards, flowers, and gifts received. Mrs. Harold B.
