The pastor, Rev. Paul J. Kolesnikoff, was in charge of the entertainment. Prof, Gwilym Davies and his talented quartet rendered delightful Christmas music, vocal and instru- mental. A program of songs and reci- tations given by the mission children was greatly enjoyed. At the close of the program James Oliver of Dallas came as a genial Santa Claus with a large sack of gifts and was enthusi- astically greeted by the children. Mrs. Oliver distributed bexes of Christmas candy and a good time was had by all. 0 Agreed at Last Wife—"%t is strange that men al ways want sons. Mr. Wallace the most famous as well as the most prolific of authors of detective novels. He is an Englishman, but he knows America almost as well as he does England. His latest novel deals with is American crooks who try to operate! in London and are foiled by the won- derful detective system of Scotland yard. Wherever people read detective stories the name of Edgar Wallace is known. President Hoover always gets Mr. Wallace's latest book as soon as it comes out, and reads it in bed! King George of England is one of his most enthusiastic readers. Heads of police departments in America and Europe say that Mr. Wallace under- stands crooks and crime better than any other living author, and that he knows the way in which tives work. * real detec- nl READ THE POST Subscription price $1.00 per year.
