Sharbaugh Store “Outfitters for Men & Boys” Main Street Carrolltown Veteran Horsemen Given Feed Sunday Twenty-five veteran Cambria Co. horsemen Sunday inspected livestock at the County Juvenile Home and the County Home Farm. The tour of inspection followed a dinner in honor of the oldtime horsemen given in Metropolitan Hotel, Ebensburg, by Cambria Co. Commissionér Cyrus W. Davis. Members of the group said the stock at the county home was ex- ceptionally well cared for and the three teams of Belgian work hors- es were in excellent condition. The teams were hooked up and parad- ed for the benefit of the visitors. At the juvenile home the men were shown the three baby beef calves being raised by three boys as a 4-H club project. The group also inspected a 458- acre tract owned hy the county along the Ebensburg-Summerhilt Road. The visitors said they will endeavor to interest several groups in establishing a park on the site. Surviving are her husband, Paul, and 3 children, Leona, at home; Paul Jr., with the Army in Haw- aii, and Lucine, Hastings. There also are these brothers and sis- ters: Joseph, Patton; Alex, Mau- rice, Mrs. Melma Deschamps and Victor, all of Hastings; Noel, St. Benedict; Mrs. June Goss, Johns- town; Mrs. Blair Weakland, Wil- liamsport; Mrs. Ernest Mehay, St. Lawrence, and Mrs. Martha Le- chene, Patton. Hastings, : CLASSIFIED A Rabbit Bite Causes Loss of Tots Finger Thomas Smith, the 16-month- old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Smith of Carrolltown, had his finger amputated at the second joint recently as the result of an unusual accident whereby a tame rabbit owned by his parents bit and so badly mangled his fin- ger that Dr. V. J. Mulvehill was obliged to remove it. Prior to this and unknown to the Smiths, Patsy Stevens, two- year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Stevens of Carrolltown, was bitten by the same rabbit. The bunny took off the tip of her right index finger. Both tots were feeding the rabbits at the times they were bitten. The Carrolltown physician says these two cases were the first he had ever treated for rabbit bites since he began practice about 50 years ago. All of the Smiths rabbits now are in “bunny heaven.” Elizabeth M. Cronauer Bride Monday at Hastings St. Bernard's Catholic Church, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Monday when Rev.
