During the hunting season while the woods are more or less Inviting to a goodly number of people It la woll to remember a number of things. You should make It your business to always crawl over a fence with the muzzle of the gun toward you. Then should any thing catch on the trigger the news paper man will have something Interest ing to write about the next week. If you see anything move la the brush you want to fire right away. Of oourse It may be another hunter but you can call around In tho morning and explain to bis widow that you thought It was a pheasant. She will probably think you are a bird . Always leave the hammer of your gun tip If you have anybody with you. If It should fall your friend will probably catch the ammunition In bis back before it goes far. You can then pick the shot out at leisure. Falls Crook Jlernhl. Ratlimel. John I'roud, of Force, I'a., had busi ness here Suturday. Miss Knte Molntohli called on friends la Full Crock Saturday. , J. The year 11)04 will bring the one hundreth anniversary of the organiza tion of Jefferson county and If the event Is to be fittingly celebrated, as It should bo, It would suom that early agitation of tho subject should be begun. Every community In tho county ought to be Interested in a celebration which would bring to the attention of the outside world the advantages possessed by sturdy Jefferson and if the citizens of the county seat (which Is, of oourse, the logical point at which to hold the anni versary oelnnratlon) will but bestir themselves curly we have no doubt but Hint the hearty co-operation of all sections will bo secured and a celebra tion of fitting magnitude be given. There Is no reason why such an affair should be local in any sense of the word, as every borough and township In the county has some thing of his tor lo lutoreBt which would add totbegeneral result.
