King & Co., of this place, had been selling farming machines and Wednesday was fixed as tho date for the delivery of the machines, so our farmer friends drove into town that morning, loaded the ma chines on their wagons at A. V. R'y station, formml in line and headed by M. C. Coleman, on horseback, drovo up Main street to King & Co's store, arriv ing there at noon. The counters In King fc Co's Inrgo drug store were utilized for tables nnd tho fnrmers, about forty in number, were given a free dinner. There were to be speeches mado after dinner, but the fnrmers woro In a hurry to get home to work on their farms in tho afternoon and tho speech making was omitted.
