Harry Yarowskl, of West Ccntro street, was arrested yesterday morning by Constable homas Holln on a wnrrant issued by tho United Slates Circuit Court at Philadelphia. Yarowskl is confined in tho lockup, ponding tho arrival of a United States Marshal from 'Jiiladelphia. Tho warrant upon which tho arrest was made was issued several weeks ago; it calls for tho arrest of several men besides tho 0110 now in custody. When the warrant was issued 11 United States Marshal and a Postotllco In spector enme here to execute it and 0110 night a raid was mado on tho Yarowskl residence but the birds had. llown and tho olllcers left tho town. About two weeks ago tho Post Office Inspector returned and placed the war rant in tho hands of Constable llolin. ester- day Harry Yarowskl called at Holin's house and asked the Constable If lie know whether or not tho cako had been dropped, llolin an swered by putting tho man under arrest. Harry larowskl did not know that tho war rant was in liolin's hands, or that it called for his own arrest, and ho was ery much crest fallen when tho true state of allalrs dawned upon him. Tlio warrant does not set forth the smi-luc charge, hut it is alleged that Yarowski and others havo been engaging in an oxtensive scheme to defraud merchants of distant cities through tho mails. It Is charged that they ordered largo quantities of goods of various kinds shipped to Mahanoy City, Mah anoy Piano and other points. Tho gooils were ordered shipped under falso names and after lieing received were brought to this town and taken to other places in wagons and pcddlod. Trace of tho goods were lost at tho places to which they wero shipped, but a Postofllce Inspector who spent three or four weeks in this town and Mahanoy City gleaned enough evidence to convince him that Harry Yarowskl and others whoso names aro withheld fur the present wero tho men who ordered the goods aud carted them away. Michael Kcr- nick, a Slavonian 30 years of ago, was found dead and mangled on tho 1'. & It. railroad, at the gas house, at an early hour yesterday morning. Just how ho met his death is a mystery. Ho left his boarding houso Satur day evening with a largo sum of money and was not seen after by his friends until tlio remains wero discovered. The remains wero jammed into n frog on the track and held so firm that they were pried out with much difficulty. Tho head was cut oirand tho brains were scattered along the rails. The remains wero gathered up in sacks and wero in such bad condition that tho friends decided to hold tho funeral in the afternoori. It was attended by the St. Stephens and First National Greek Societies aud the Slavonian band. But little money was found on tho remaius. STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.
