Winters, the well known cattle buyer, of Midlothian, Md. arrived in town several days ago. He has many friends and customers | here who are always glad to see him, for he’has been buying cattle all over Somerset county for more than 30 years. lt is said of him by people who know him like a book, that he never repudiated a contract or went -back on his word in a single instance, no mat- ter whether he gained or lost heavily in a cattle deal. John O. Winters is a man who has the reputation of doing business on the square, and his word ix as good as any man’s bond. Further- more, he has acquired a nice compe- tency, where many dishonest cattle men have failed, all of which goes to show that honesty is invariably the best policy in the end. The form of John O. Winters is a familiar one that we hope to see at frequent intervals in our locality for a goodly number of years yet, and it always affords us pleasure to take a man of his stamp by the hand and give it a warm, hearty grasp.
