DUNHAM Treas THOS. J. INGHAM, Secretary. Kntered at Hie Post Office at Laporte, as second-class mail matter. There is much talk of political hossisin in Pennsylvania, and of the grip whic.li Col. Quay holds upon the party. This topic is the subject of frequent denunciations from the Democratic ranks. Hut taking recent event as the model Democratic denunciations of Republican methods is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. The Pennsylvania Democracy re cently went through the form of a convention and among the points on which it assailed the Republican par ty was its obedience to liossism. Now mark the appropriateness of this wrath! Accusing the Republi cans, of submitting to bossism the Democratic Convention carried out without kick or protest, the program outlined by Col. Gutt'ey. Its dele gates to the St. Louis Convention are togo uninstructed and it is un derstood that the latter, holding them in his hand, will join a combi nation to help the right man. The Prohibitions of Sullivan held t here County Convention at the Court II use May (5, 15)04. Rev. J.II. How en Chairman, called the Convention to order. Rev. J. 11. Bowen was elected' Chairman, T. The administration is losing no time in its investigation of the alleg ed combine of the meat packers to monopolize the market.
