The clection of Mr Kipp, the Democratic nominee, is not a Democratic victory, but is the result of the better thinking Republicans voting along with the Democrats at a time when the members of the Grand Old Party resolved to deliver themselves from tke hinds of the political boss The clection of Mr. Kipp is a vic: tory for reform; it is a victory for the ecple; it is a victory for that class of Republicans who have b:come tired of havieg the party's z2fluirs managed by tricky tactics and “snap” methods.
