There is no longer any doubt of the election of the entire reform ticket. The state ticket is conceded a majority of at least 150,000, and $0 far as the local fizhts are cons cerned all of the machine candi. dates are shaking at the kaeces The fight in the fourteenth cons gressional district is no longer a contest, but a rout. Lilley is on the rua. His most ardent admirers are looking sericus and are trying to comfort themselves with the belief that it won't be a landslid= This cheerful aspect, however, should not mis!cad the voliag ele- ment aud prevent their going to the polls. Notwithstanding the fight is already won it is the duty of every voter who is desirous cf seeing a cleaning vp in Pennsylva nia to go to the polls and register his intentions. Every voter should appoict himself a committee of one to sec that every vote in his neigh borhood is polled. Reform cannot be accomplished unless those in favor of it go to the polls and cas their ballots, Remaining at home and depending on the other fellow to do the job won't work. G=t out and the victery is comp'ete and decisive. Vote for Kipp in this congressional district and thus place yourself on record as being opposed to bossism and crooked poiitical methods. ee e—— ENTERTAINMENT COURSE SECURED A course of entertainments has been tecured to take place at the high school hall at this place, They will be conducted jointly by the Sayre high school alumni asso- ciation and by the high school ath. letic association. A SORRY SPECTACLE In Bradford county there is a normal Republican majority of nearly five thousand, yet the peos ple are now witnessing the spectas cle of a Republican candidate for Congress going up and down the county begging for votes. Ordine arily a Republican candidate for this important office, whose politis cal carcer had not been besmirchsd with trickery aad corrupt practices could sit in the quiet of his home itd look the situation in the face with complicency. A candidate who had the confidence of the vot. ers would have no cccision to fear for the future. It would not be necessary for him to even raise his finger. His election would be as. sured. How different is the situa tion today. With the nomination for congress secured by trickery Mial Lilley, the present incumbent of the office, is imploring the rank and ‘file to rally to his support Every artifice that is known to this “astute” politician has been resort- ed to in order to secure votes, Meetings, with brass band and red fire display have been held in var- ious precincts, and the swish of the party lash sounds in the air, Lil ley is in desperate straits. The party which he has dragged into ignomy and disgrace is in open re- volt and is on the eve of repudiat- ing him and his methods at the polls on Tuesday next. Lilley has no oneto blame but himself, He has worked out his own downfall, The kind of “leadership” that he has employed to advance his own private ends will no longer te tol- erated by the members of the party to which he claims to belong. His despairing cry of “elect me and you will stand by Roosevelt” is the cry of a drowniog man graspioy at straws, Lilley is fully alive to the situation. He has played the game in this county for along time and it is the last peg on which Lil ley can stand, and no one knows it better than himself, The voters, however, are not blind, They know that “standiag by Roosevelt’ means in this instance standing by Lilley, and they will refuse to be fooled. They will vote the other way this year. They will vote for reform and vote to clean out the gang, to which Lilley has sworn undying allegiance, “NY WIFE FANILY” The Whitney production of “My Wife's Family” will appear at the Loomis tomorrow evening. The play has been a big success since first produced. In the hands of the present company the play has been a pronounced success, With a capable cast of singers, dancers and comedians the show is one round of jollity from the rise to the fall of the curtain. Everything goes with a vim, The songs are all new and the dances artistically arranged, The vocalists are artists and the comedians are funny ; the costdmes are handsome and the ry elaborate.
