BORO COUNCIL MEETING Athens—At a meeting of the council held last night the matter of appointing a committee to con fer with a committee appointed by the Sayre borough council relative to the consolidation ot Athens, Sayre and South Waverly was laid over, and from present indications the council does not take kindly to the suggestion. The matter of collecting taxes from the Traction company was discussed and finally referred to the borough attorney. The matter of the Lehigh Val- ley blocking the Main street cross- ing was called to the attention of the council, and a suggestion was made that either a bridge or an underground crossing should be constructed. This matter was also referred to the borough attorney. After paying a few bills the coun- al adjourned.
