In noticing the exhibits at the State fair, the Eliniru Gazette has this to say in regard to the Eureka Mower: We also noticed the Wilbur Direct Draft Eureka Mowor. This machine lias a eapaei tv of two acres per hour. A new principle is illustrated in ibis machine, namely, that of spreading, the horses and cutting the swath between them, and a direct draft is thus se cured, and the grass is left untrodden as i l'alls, thus enabling it to cure in but litt'e over half the time than if cut by any other ma. chine. This machine is very easily handled both by the mail a> well as by the team. The cutter-bar can be iai-cd twenty inches, and can run over or under the grass without clogging. This machine is especially adapted to mowing side-hills, where all know the old machines worked with difficulty, and often danger. The fact that one horse walks in the grass, \vlii h seemed so great an objection to many at first sight, becomes ail actual advan tage when demonstrated bv practical experi ence and trial. The Eureka machine, all things considered, is the cheapest and best for practical farming. Don't fail to go to JOHN SULLINAN'S on Bridge street, for the best live cent cegar.
