Mr. DECKER, who is attending the State Fair in Elmira, yesterday telegraphed here that he bad found his cream-colored mare, stolen a few months since. Dr. SEAVKR C. ROSS, who has been so journing in Scrantou for the past three weeks is home again for a few days. lie has about decided to locate at Scruuton. Judge INGHAM and Hon. E. M. DUNHAM, of Laporte, Sullivan eountv, were registered at the Ward House yesterday. The Judge had been holding court in Honesdale. C. F. Our good friend, Mr. DITTRICH, has fur nished us with a bountiful suppiy of the fruit, the best of evidence that what we said in rei gard to his pear tree was correct. They are delicious, showing that good varieties of this superb fruit were cultivated before the Bart letts, Flemish Beauties, Seckels, &0., were propogated. At the morning dressing, at 8 :30 this morning, the President's temperature was 98.4; pulse, 100, respiration, 20. lie passed the night comfortably, sleeping until three o'clock this morning, when he was wakeful for a period of two hours, during which time his pulse rose to 120, but without the marked elevation of tem perature which has characterized the fe j brile rise heretofore. After this time he j slept until morning. More nourishment j was given during the night than for sev-1 eral nights past. In reviewing the case since his arrival at Long Branch, it may i be said that, in spite of the various septic ' accidents which have for several weeks ; and do still complicate the case, he lias certainly not retrograded, but on the con trary, has made some progress towards convalescence. 6 p. M. The President has passed a quiet day, sleepidg a little. He has coughed occas ionally. the expectoration being less pur.! ulent. A greater variety of nourishment! has been taken without discomfort. He was placed upon the invalid chair and re mained forty-live minutes in a position a little more elevated than on previous oc casions. At noon his pulse was 102; res piration, 21; temperature, 98.9.
