Abercrombie's Boston Ideal Company will play Uncle Tom's Cabin, in Mereur Hall, on Tuesday evening, September 13, The Binghamton Jiepubtican in speaking of this company says: The old, but always popular drama of Un cle Tom's Cabin was produced by Abcrcrom bics' Boston Ideal Company at the Academy of Music in an excellent manner, the roles throughout the entire cast being well dislrib. uted and sustained. Blanche Slader is an ex cellent Topsy, and introduced a number of serio-comic songs which were repeatedly en cored. Frank Smith, us the lawyer, and Yankee Knight, in the double part of Gum tion Cute and the Quaker furnished an inex haustible food for merriment. Little Pansey, the charming little midget who played Eva, has never been surpassed in that role in this city, and for one so young, evineed a remarka ble dramatic talent and conception of the part. The house was crowded, as the com pany deserved it should be, and the entire performance gave the utmost satisfaction. THE VERY LATEST—St vies in men's, chil drcn's and boys' suits, overcoats and fur nishing goods cau be found at Jacob's Cloth ing House as he has just opened an immense stock of Fall and Winter goods. The Boston Ideal Company, in their play of Uncle Tom's Cabin, ut Daniel's Hall, on Tues day evening, drew the largest house of any company that has played here this season. Doubtless their popular prices had much to do with filling the house, but the entertain ment was a good one and gave entire satisfac tion. Miss Blanche Slader as Topsy was ex excellent, this part being sustained in better style than has heretofore been seen here. Aside from the regular play the variety en tertainment was well conceived and very amusing, particularly the part of Uio Yankee by Yankee Knight.
