A S. road yesterday in a special train. J AS. KIRWIN, the baggage man, has been awarded the contract for carrying the mail between the post office and 1.. V. depot. Mrs. G. R. MACKARLANEis in Washington to attend the wedding of her sister Miss BRADLEY. The bride-elect visited in this place last year. Mr. W. V. Duggan, who recently graduat ed at tin* Susquehanna Collegiate Institute has accepted the Principalship of the Barclay Graded School and commences Monday next.
