Roberts Bkalliep., Scc'y. Base Ball. This noble athletic game seems to be all the rago at present and clubs have been started in several of our neighbor ing towns. Our Kittanning friends have three organized, named, respectively, "Hia watha," "Kittanning," and "Peerless." The "Hiawatha" played a match game with the "Enterprise," of Allegheny City, in which the former was worsted. The victors, unlike the loyal Nitro-Glycerine politicians of the day, who trample and insult a fallen foe, treated their defeated antagonists to a splendid ovation, and the day wound up as "merry as a marriage bell." Let our young men organize a base ball club at once. Nothing would develope muscle, promote ruddy health, or give the coupe dc grace to corner loafing quicker than fcuch a move ment. EiiENSBL'KO. Few places enjoy a more pleasant and healthy location than our lit tle town. The mountain scenery is magnifi cent and unsurpassed, boon nature has scat tered her favors profusely ; the streams abound with fish and tho woods with game; the mountain air is salubrious and cannot fail to have a sanative effect on the invalid, and the day comes to us with a virgin's love, full of bloom, and purity, and fresh ness. The threatened advent of Cholera upon our shores is causing an extraordinary demand for sojourning places where the air is pure and infection afar off. No letter retreat than Ebensburg.
